Whitetail Crossing has been furnished in a Scandinavian style that feels as fresh and clean as the mountain air. It features two custom murals, a hand painted sliding door, custom artwork, crisp cotton linens, updated bathrooms and is perched on the edge of acres and acres of wilderness. Our backyard serves as the crossing point for all of the deer to come down the mountain and being amongst them is a truly magical experience.
Guests enjoy relaxing in the hammocks in the back yard and roasting marshmallows over the fire pit during the crisp evenings. We have long range winter views of the ski resort that are sure to delight! Being walking distance to two hiking trails is perfect for outdoor enthusiast and we are just 1.8 miles to skiing or mountain biking at Beech Mountain Resort! Restaurants, mini-golf, the sledding hill, shopping, seasonal outdoor movies and live music are all just a five-six minute drive from the Chalet. A short drive down the mountain to Banner Elk will bring you more restaurants, The Alpine Coaster, tubing, white water rafting trips, kayaking, and more! Staying at Whitetail Crossing makes you feel miles away from anything, but you're just minutes from everything!
****Mandatory cleaning rules which have necessitated some changes at the Chalet. Due to this we have removed all throw pillows and reduced the number of throw blankets available to guests to 1 per bed (4 total).
****In winter please be prepared to arrive in a 4Wheel Drive/AWD vehicle and/or have chains for your tires in the event of a snow or ice storm during your stay.
****Please read all of the house rules before booking. We require a signed rental agreement and security deposit hold of $500 on a valid credit card for every stay.
