There is public river access down the street. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of adventure or simply enjoying quiet moments indoors, this enjoyable cabin provides a welcoming atmosphere. And there's all the beauty of the Cascades mountains everywhere you look. In the autumn, salmon fight their way upstream, seeing to fly over the rocks and waterfalls. As the river level rises in the fall, a small pond develops below the cabin site where salmon lay their eggs, returning year after year to the place of their beginnings. Upriver Dougan Falls with river access is within walking distance from the cabin where the Washougal flows over the rocks into fast moving eddies that settle into quiet pools. Downriver additional river access also within walking distance is a nice swimming hole.
